On behalf of the South Pacific Bodybuilding Federation and in conjunction with the Caledonian Bodybuilding Federation (ABBNC), I am very pleased to enclose for your review the Official Invitation, Programme & Entry Form for the 2010 South Pacific Bodybuilding & Figure Invitational Championships which will be held from 14th -16th October in Noumea, New Caledonia.

It is with sincere appreciation I/we acknowledge and thank Charles Cali, President of the National Olympic Committee of New Caledonia (CTOS), his esteemed colleagues, (including government and non government stakeholders) for their valuable support which has enabled our member federation the Caledonian Bodybuilding Federation (ABBNC) to host this years continental championships.

I/we are also most grateful to our valued colleagues who have been instrumental with the planning and coordination of this our major regional event for 2010.

PNG to host 2015 Pacific Games and bodybuilding is tipped as one of the optional sports

Representing the South Pacific Bodybuilding Federation (SPBBF) and the World Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Federation (WBPF), senior officials; Paul Chua and Philip Hope were very pleased to witness Sir John Dawanincura, Kt.OBE of the Papua New Guinea Sports Federation lead PNG's successful bid for the 2015 Pacific Games.

 

Says Paul Chua "On behalf of the WBPF & SPBBF I want to acknowledge the efforts of Sir John, his colleagues and members of government for securing the Pacific Games bid and for their support of bodybuilding. We will look forward to working with them to produce a truly special event". "PNG have many great bodybuilders and I am sure they will field their best ever team at the Games".

 

Says Philip Hope "We were thrilled to see PNG secure host rights and further more to also learn that bodybuilding is tipped to feature as one of the optional sports at this major games event. Host New Caledonia well organised for the 2010 South Pacific Bodybuilding Championships

New Caledonia are looking forward to hosting the 2010 South Pacific Bodybuilding Championships & Figure Invitational from the 14th - 16th October and this event has been planned for some time. 

 

Enclosed is the official request to the South Pacific Bodybuilding Federation which is supported by the National Olympic Committee of New Caledonia and approved by the SPBBF Executive Council in 2007. Read More >>

 

As host of next years 2011 Pacific Games, New Caledonia is using the 2010 South Pacific Bodybuilding Championships as a opportunity to develop their best ever team for the Pacific Games. This year they are able to field two teams (an A team and B team) and by doing so give their upcoming athletes important competition experience.

Largest ever team from the Pacific attends World Championships
Nine countries from Oceania (including seven Pacific Island Nations) participated at the Inaugural World Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Federation (WBPF) Men's World Championships & Congress in Dubai.
 
A total of sixty four (64) bona fide member countries participated in these championships and this event featured the largest team ever from the Pacific.
